During one of the most challenging times of my life, I created this collection as I rekindled my passion for making, and reconnected with joy and my love for life. I drew inspiration from the Brazilian Carnaval, which was taking place as I was developing this collection.
Brazilian Carnaval is a time of joyous celebration, when people all over Brazil step away from their daily lives to celebrate life. Huge parades take place throughout the country, celebrating Brazilian culture, folklore and history. People dress up in sparkly, colorful outfits and take to the streets to dance, celebrate, and have fun. It was a reminder that joy is not found, it is created.
